India vs England Test series 2024: India’s team has been announced for the first two matches of the five-Test series against England. Late on Friday night, BCCI made the team announcement. Wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel and fast bowler Avesh Khan have got a chance. Mohammad Sami has not been given place.
This series is important from the point of view of the World Test Championship-2023-25 starting from January 25. This season’s first home series for the Indian squad is underway. Earlier, Team India defeated West Indies 1-0 at home, while the two-match series with South Africa ended in a 1-1 draw.
First match play in Hyderabad between India and English.
The first match of the series will be played in Hyderabad from 25th January. The second Test will be held in Visakhapatnam from 2 February, the third Test will be held in Rajkot from 15 February, the fourth Test will be held in Ranchi from 23 February and the fifth Test will be held in Dharamshala from 7 March.
India won its home series 3-1.
India will face a challenge against England in the WTC. There will be competition in a series of 5 matches. The final Test series between England and India took place in August 2021. The 5-game series was drawn 2-2. At the same time, in the last series between the two in February 2021, India won the four-Test series 3-1.

India’s team has been announced for the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan. Rohit Sharma will serve as the team’s leader. He will play T20 match for the first time after the last T20 World Cup.
Rohit, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill are also back, while Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Ruturaj Gaikwad remain out. All of them have not been successful in recovering from their injuries. The series is important in terms of preparations for the T20 World Cup starting from January 11. This is the last bilateral series of the Indian team before the T20 World Cup to be held in June.
