ISRO Upcoming Mission: ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission successfully landed on the lunar surface on August 23 at 6:04 pm.
India became the first country to send any spacecraft to the South Pole of the Moon. In today’s article, we will talk about what are the upcoming new missions of ISRO?
ISRO has 6 new plans regarding its space mission.
After successfully landing on the surface of the moon, now ISRO’s new mission is towards the sun. After the success of Chandrayaan 3, ISRO scientists have now made preparations. Aditya L One can be launched to reach the sun in September. The process of sending spacecraft into space will not stop here. After this, ISRO will launch two more powerful space missions like NISAR and SPADEX.
These 6 Mission are ISRO Upcoming Mission.
Aditya L-1
One of the upcoming missions of ISRO is the Aditya L1 mission, which will explore the power of the Sun and will be launched around September 2023, with a total cost estimated around ₹378 crore.
Talking about the distance between the Sun and the Earth, this distance is about 150 million kilometers, and it takes about 8 minutes for the Sun’s rays to reach the Earth. The place where ISRO’s upcoming mission Aditya L1 will be deployed is called L One Point and it is located at a distance of about 1.5 million kilometers from the Earth. The location point of Aditya L One Mission is a place which is not affected by eclipse, due to which the sun is visible from here all the time. On the other hand, if we talk about the launch of this mission, it will be launched with the L-1 LMVM3 locket and will move in an elliptical orbit.
After four months of mission launch, Aditya will be stationed in Hello Orbit near L One Langrange Point One i.e. L1 and will study the Sun. At the same time, this mission will require seven different types of equipment to study the Sun, which have been installed in it. these are- VELC, SUIT, ASPEX, PAPA, SOLEX, HEL1OS and Magro meter.
Four of the seven equipment used in this mission will analyze the energetic particles coming from the Sun to the Earth and will know the answer to these two questions, the first question is how do these particles get trapped in the Earth’s magnetic field? And the second question is how is the coronal ejection happening on the edge of the Sun and what is its intensity?
- Testing of all the equipment of this satellite sent to analyze about the sun has been completed and very soon it can be reviewed and sent to space in the early weeks of September.
- This mission is being sent for the analysis of the sun, this mission will analyze the solar coronal injection i.e. the flames coming out of the upper atmosphere of the sun and these flames affect our communication network and electronic activities on the earth.
- At the same time, all the countries around the world have put their efforts to analyze about the Sun, including all the agencies of America, Germany, Europe and the American Space Agency NASA has sent the maximum number of missions.
- Different space agencies of the world had sent their mission to the Sun. In which NASA sent its first Sun Mission Pioneer-5 in the year 1960. Germany sent its first Sun mission in 1974 with the help of NASA. During this period, Europe also sent its first Sun mission in 1994 in association with NASA.
NISAR
This mission is the most special among the upcoming missions of India because this mission will accurately predict earthquakes and tsunamis. On the other hand, if we talk about launching in this mission, then this mission will be launched by the year 2024. Talking about the total amount to be spent in this mission, it is likely to cost around ₹ 778 crore. In today’s era, due to climate change, many problems arise for people all over the world, such as cloud bursts, floods, disasters like tsunami have to be faced. To monitor climate change, ISRO will launch the next Earth Observation Satellite i.e., NISAR, which will accurately predict earthquakes and tsunamis.
However, ISRO is doing this space mission in collaboration with the American Space Agency NASA. Means both NASA and Indian Space Agency ISRO together will send this project to space. Will be deployed in an orbit of 747 kilometers above the surface of the earth and will give a new picture of the whole earth every week. Talking about the weight of the satellite of this mission, its weight will be around 2800 kg and this satellite will also have a fixed antenna reflected of about 39 feet, which made of gold-plated wire mesh.
Since this satellite will go to a height of 747 km from the earth and take pictures of the earth, for which an aperture radar has also been installed in it, which will be able to take very clear pictures of 240 km.
- At the same time, this mission of ISRO will give information about tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanoes, earthquakes, sea storms due to melting of glaciers, wild fires, rise in sea level, agriculture, reduction of wet land ice.
- The garbage accumulating around the earth will prove to be a threat to the entire earth in the coming times. At the same time, through this satellite, ISRO will be able to see the garbage accumulating all around and will try to get rid of it.
- Along with this, this satellite will also find out where there is a shortage of trees on the whole earth.
- High resolution pictures will be received through this satellite, which will monitor the glaciers in the Himalayas and help the Government of India and America.
SPADEX
Through this mission of ISRO, ISRO will start building its space station in space, which is expected to be launched in the year 2024. On the other hand, if we talk about the expenditure in this space mission, then the estimated expenditure of about ₹ 124 crores can come. Before building a space station in space, it is necessary to acquire the ability to connect two satellites. This is called Space Docking Experiment ie SPADEX
.
The Space Tax mission will be launched with a Zeiss rocket. Its name will be PSLV. After launch, they will be added by reducing their speed in space. Through this, ISRO scientists will know whether they will be able to deliver fuel, astronauts and other essential items to the space station. If we talk about the space station built by India’s ISRO in the same space, its weight will be approximately 20 tonnes. With this, we will be able to study microgravity.
Arrangements will be made for some astronauts to stay in the space station built by ISRO for 15 to 20 days. On the other hand, if this form makes its space station in five to 7 years, then it will be the fourth country in the world, which will have its own space station. Earlier, many space agencies have built their space station in space, including Russia, America and China. These three countries have built their own space stations.
GAGANYAAN
Gaganyaan mission is going to be the most special in ISRO’s upcoming space mission, because ISRO will send humans into space with the help of Gaganyaan mission in space. On the other hand, if we talk about the launch of this mission, then this mission will be launched in about 2024 and its expenditure is being estimated at about Rs 10,000 crore.
Gaganyaan will go 300 to 400 kilometers above the Earth’s lower orbit. This mission was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15 August 2018. Under this mission of Indian ISRO, a total of three flights will be sent in the lower orbit of the earth. Of these, two unmanned flights and one flight will take humans along.
This unmanned mission will enhance the technical capability of the country. Along with this, it will also make a significant contribution in scientific research and development. If this Gaganyaan mission of India proves to be successful, then India will become the fourth country after America, China and Soviet Union to sell humans in space.
MANGALYAAN-2
India is the only country in the world which has succeeded in going to Mars in its first attempt and after this success, India is about to launch Mangalyaan-2. This mission will be able to gather information about Mars. On the other hand, if we talk about its launch, it will be launched in the year 2025 and the total estimated expenditure will be around ₹500 crores.
Mangalyaan 2 is ISRO’s second mission to Mars. Earlier, ISRO had sent its first Mangalyaan to Mars through Mission Mangal, which had reached Mars in its first attempt. The Mangalyaan II mission, also known as the Mars Orbiter Mission II, is an interplanetary mission that ISRO has planned to launch in 2025. Talking about ISRO’s Mangalyaan II mission, an arrow braking system will be used in it so that the orbiter can be placed in an orbit closer to Mars. Although ISRO’s Mangalyaan to mission is still in the construction phase and ISRO is currently working on ISRO’s upcoming mission Gaganyaan. Apart from this, the agency is working on another project Aditya L1, which we have already discussed in the beginning of the article.
SUKRYAAN
ISRO has another upcoming mission which is going to be a very important mission. We are talking about the upcoming Shukrayaan mission of ISRO. Through this mission, more information about the planet Venus will be collected. While talking about its launch, this mission will be launched in December 2024. At the same time, its expenses have not been decided yet. How much will this mission cost in total?
Last few years ago due to Kovid 19, the launch of this mission was pushed forward. Sukrayaan will be an orbiter mission that will orbit around Venus to study and transmit more information to Earth. At the same time, according to ISRO’s Chief Scientist P Sreekumar, the right time to launch any mission from Earth to Venus comes only in a gap of 19 months. So 2026 and 2028 would be considered the right years to launch the Venus mission. According to Mr. Kumar, the right time to launch a mission to Venus comes once every 8 years in view of less fuel consumption, therefore? The year 2031 would be an appropriate year to launch Sukrayaan.
