Asia Cup 2023: The Indian team for the Asia Cup 2023 has been announced. Rohit Sharma has returned in this Asia Cup series, in which he will be seen as the captain while Hardik Pandya will lead the team as the vice-captain.
The same long-running wicketkeeper KL Rahul and middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer have returned to the team. By the way, the team will have two wicket-keeper batsmen, one is KL Rahul, who is returning to the team after a long time, and Ishaan Kishan, who is proving to be a good player for the team at the present time. On the other hand, if we talk about bowlers, spinner bowler Yajuvendra Chahal will not get a place in the team. However, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will play in the Asia Cup.
The Asia Cup match will be played in Pakistan and Sri Lanka on August 30.
India’s first match in the Asia Cup will be played with Pakistan on 2 September. In this tournament, India has been placed in Group A along with Pakistan and Nepal. Whereas Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have been placed in Group B.

Ishan Kishan, who has been with the team for a long time, has been selected for Asia Cup 23. On the other hand, KL Rahul, who has been running out of the team for a long time, has also got a place in the team for the Asia Cup. Mohammed Shami will play for the first time after the World Test Championship.
After the World Test Championship, Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami was not seen playing a single match. And with Asia’s resolve, Mohammed Shami will be seen making a comeback for his team. On the other hand, if we talk about other bowlers playing in this, the famous Krishna Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami and Jaspreet Bumrah will also be included.
Bumrah will return to ODI after 13 months
Bumrah, who has been out of the team for a long time, will be seen playing ODIs after almost 13 months. Bumrah was out of the team 13 months ago due to injury. There will be a return to the team with the Asia Cup. Bumrah played his last ODI match on 14 July 2022 in England. India’s first match in the Asia Cup will be against Pakistan on 2 September. Looking at Gumrah’s form, he will be given a chance in the playing 11. He is currently seen captaining the Ireland tour.
Kohli, Jadeja will be seen with Rohit’s captaincy.
Team India captain Rohit Sharma is also running out of the team for the last few occasions as he believes that new young batsmen should also be given a chance.
