India T20I team for Afghanistan series: India’s team has been announced for the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan. Rohit Sharma will serve as the team’s leader. He will play T20 match for the first time after the last T20 World Cup.
Rohit, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill are also back, while Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Ruturaj Gaikwad remain out. All of them have not been successful in recovering from their injuries. The series is important in terms of preparations for the T20 World Cup starting from January 11. This is the last bilateral series of the Indian team before the T20 World Cup to be held in June.

Afghanistan’s team has been announced for the T-20 series against India. Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has selected 19 players for three T-20 series. Opener Ibrahim Zadran will be the captain of the team. Whereas Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan have returned to the squad.
Recently Rashid had undergone back surgery. This was the reason why he did not play in the recent T-20 series played against UAE. Spin bowler Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who did not play in the last T20 series against UAE, has also returned to the team. The series will start from January 11.

India will play 3 T20 matches before the T20 World Cup. All three games will be held in Afghanistan. India will then play five Tests against England and then the IPL will start. IPL will probably run till the third week of May. Immediately after the tournament, T20 World Cup will also be held in America and West Indies from June 1.
