According to the article, the Crown Prince intends to turn the Indian Premier League into a holding company valued at $30 billion. about Rs 2.5 lakh crore. Bin Salman’s advisors have also talked to some Indian government officials about this. Salman wants to invest about five billion rupees (about Rs 41 thousand crores) in IPL, which will make it a worldwide cricket league instead of a domestic cricket league. IPL is the biggest sports league in the world. BCCI earns around Rs 118 crore from each IPL match.

  • Media Rights: Media and rights to telecast IPL matches Only a company that holds the media rights can broadcast the match live and also show highlights. BCCI gets maximum income from this.
  • Title prize: In 2008, title sponsorship was given at ₹50 crore per year. At the same time, in 2023 this figure was more than ₹ 300 crore per year. Tata and BCCI have spent ₹600 crore on the two-year deal.
  • Cost of French Speech: Any new team joining the IPL will have to pay a franchise fee. This entire process is done through bidding, in which several companies or group teams buy from each other. Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Supergiants League 2022 added ₹12500 crore to BCCI’s account.

Viacom 18 paid Rs 20,500 crore for the digital rights to the entire Indian continent and Rs 3,258 crore for the non-exclusive digital rights to 98 selected matches.
