The auction witnessed seven uncapped players reaching millionaire status. Chennai Super Kings acquired Samit Rizvi for ₹8.40 crore, Shubham Dube joined Rajasthan Royals for ₹5.80 crore, and Gujarat secured Shahrukh Khan for ₹7.40 crore. Delhi Capitals bought wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra for ₹7.20 crore, while Yash Dayal went to Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹5 crore.

Auction Summary: 38 Players Sold, Including 15 Overseas

The auction saw a total of 38 players being sold, with 15 overseas and 23 Indian players finding new teams. Hyderabad secured 24 players, while Kolkata still has seven vacant spots in their squad.

After being auctioned for ₹9 crore in 2022, uncapped batter Shahrukh Khan became a millionaire once again. Gujarat Titans secured him for ₹7.40 crore.

Set-7 Buys: Arshin Kulkarni and Ramandeep Singh Join Lucknow and Kolkata

In Set-7, Arshin Kulkarni joined Lucknow Supergiants, and Ramandeep Singh became a part of Kolkata Knight Riders, both fetching ₹20 lakh each.

Left-handed uncapped batter Shubham Dube from Vidarbha secured a remarkable deal with Rajasthan Royals. They acquired him for ₹5.80 crore, 29 times more than his base price of ₹20 lakh. Angkrish Raghuvanshi also joined Kolkata Knight Riders for ₹20 lakh.

Yash Dayal Sold for ₹5 Crore, Rinku’s Explosive Batting Unsold

Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Yash Dayal for ₹5 crore, while his impressive performance, including hitting five consecutive sixes in the previous season, failed to secure a buyer in Set-9. Gujarat Titans made two purchases, acquiring Kartik Tyagi for ₹60 lakh and Sushant Mishra for ₹2.20 crore. Meanwhile, Rasekh Salam joined Delhi Capitals for ₹20 lakh, and in this set, Kuldeep Yadav and Ishan Porel remained unsold.

M Siddharth Sells for ₹2.40 Crore in Set-10

Uncapped spinner M Siddharth became a crorepati, as Lucknow Supergiants secured him for ₹2.40 crore in Set-10. Gujarat acquired Manav Suthar, and Mumbai secured Shreyas Gopal, both at their base prices of ₹20 lakh.

In a bidding war between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings, New Zealand’s batting all-rounder Daryl Mitchell was the center of attention. Both teams bid from 12 to 13.75 crores, but in the end, Chennai secured Mitchell for a whopping 14 crores.

Harshal Patel Acquired by Punjab for 11.75 Crores

A bidding war unfolded for the slower-ball specialist Harshal Patel between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings. Gujarat placed bids up to 10.75 crores, and then Lucknow Super Giants joined the fray. However, Punjab persisted and acquired Harshal Patel for 11.75 crores, making him the most expensive Indian player in this auction.

West Indies’ fast bowler Alzarri Joseph became the center of attention in the bidding war between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Starting at 1 crore, the bid for Joseph crossed 10 crores. Ultimately, Royal Challengers Bangalore secured him for 11.50 crores.

Unsold Spinners in Set-5

Set-5 featured foreign spinners, including Afghanistan’s Waqar Salamkheil, England’s Adil Rashid, West Indies’ Akeal Hosein, South Africa’s Tabraiz Shamsi, New Zealand’s Ish Sodhi, and Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Surprisingly, none of them received any bids.

India’s fast bowler Umesh Yadav was acquired by Gujarat Titans for 5.80 crores, surpassing his base price of 2 crores. Kolkata and Lucknow engaged in a bidding war for Shivam Mavi, with Lucknow finally securing him for 6.40 crores.

Only 2 Players Sold in Set-3

In Set-3, five wicketkeepers were featured, but only two were sold. Delhi purchased Tristan Stubbs for 50 lakhs, and Kolkata secured KS Bharat for the same amount. Phil Salt, Josh Inglis, and Kusal Mendis remained unsold.

Mumbai and Punjab Secure All-rounders in Set-2

Set-2 witnessed bidding for nine all-rounders, all of whom were successfully purchased. Australia’s Pat Cummins, New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, and India’s Harshal Patel were among those sold. Gerald Coetzee joined Mumbai for 5 crores, and Chris Woakes became a part of Punjab for 4.20 crores.

Set-2 saw Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga’s surprising acquisition at his base price of 1.50 crores by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Ajmatullah Omarzai was purchased by Gujarat Titans for 50 lakhs, while Chetan Sakariya joined Chennai for 1.80 crores.

Rovman Powell Goes for 7.40 Crores

West Indies’ T20 captain Rovman Powell’s bid crossed 7 crores. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals engaged in a bidding war, with Rajasthan eventually acquiring him for 7.40 crores.
