Is Messi participating in tonight’s Inter Miami vs Charlotte match?
Inter Miami vs. Charlotte: There are just two games left on Inter Miami’s schedule, the first at home against Charlotte and the second away. However, they will also be Inter Miami’s final two games of the season, as the team was eliminated from postseason contention due to its dismal start to the campaign before Lionel Messi arrived.
But will Messi be fit for Wednesday’s matchup against Charlotte? What is known about La Pulga’s status is as follows:
Is Messi going to play for Charlotte tonight?
Because tonight’s game against Charlotte falls so close to the October international break, Messi will not be playing. Messi was not given enough recovery time to suit up for Inter Miami the next day because he last played on Tuesday when on international duty with Argentina, where he scored a brace in 10 minutes of play.

According to Lionel Messi, he will not go on loan from Inter Miami this winter.
Following Tuesday night’s CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying match between Peru and Argentina, Lionel Messi put a stop to the conversation about a potential winter loan during the MLS offseason.
Messi responded, “No,” when asked if he would consider taking out a loan.
“We should have made the playoffs, but we didn’t.” We’d been quite close. I missed a few games in the past because of various injuries. We had an extremely difficult month of July; we traveled and played every three days. However, we emerged victorious from a competition (a Leagues Cup victory in August), which bodes well for the team and the upcoming season.
Due to a hamstring injury, Messi has not been able to help Inter Miami climb out of the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings and qualify for the playoffs during the past few months.
Messi will rest and enjoy a lesser schedule of games, which will include a two-game tour of China in November and World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay (Nov. 16) and Brazil (Nov. 21), rather than returning to FC Barcelona or perhaps even the Saudi Pro League.
