Jio Bharat phone launched in India at Rs 999: Reliance Jio has introduced a new featurephone in India called Jio Bharat Mobile. They want to make sure that everyone in India has access to good internet, so they created this phone. They are working with other companies like Karbonn to make more such phones. They will start selling the first batch of phones on July 7, 2023, and you can buy them from stores across the country.

With this phone you can make tons of calls, take pictures and pay for things using JioPay. You can also enjoy with JioCinema, JioSaavan and FM Radio. There are two models, and one has the Jio logo while the other has the Karbonn logo.

Akash Ambani, in charge of a company called Reliance Jio, talked about a new phone called Jio Bharat Phone. He said that there are still 25 crore people in India who use old phones which are not able to connect properly to the internet. This is a problem as other countries are gearing up for faster and better internet called 5G.

Jio Bharat to enable existing 250 million feature phone users with internet enabled phones, the company announced through an exchange filing. Jio Bharat platform leverages device and network capabilities to deliver internet-enabled services on entry-level phones. Besides Reliance Retail, other phone brands (starting with Karbonn), to adopt the ‘Jio Bharat platform’ to build ‘Jio Bharat phones’. Beta Trial The Beta trial for first 1 million Jio Bharat phones begins from 7th July 2023. It is to ensure scalability of platform and processes for upgrading millions of feature phone users. It is to be carried out across 6,500 tehsils. Price and tariff plans The price of it is only Rs 999, the lowest entry price for an internet-enabled phone. It has 30% cheaper monthly plan and 7 times more data compared to feature phone offerings of other operators. It offers Rs 123 per month for unlimited voice calls and 14 GB data, compared to other operator’s Rs 179 plan for voice calls and 2GB data.

When Jio was launched six years ago, it promised to make internet available to all in India and share the benefits of technology with them. He said that technology should not be for the few, but for the use and enjoyment of all.

The device has affordable monthly plans that cost up to 30 percent less than other phones. It also gives you 7 times more data than those phones.

For just Rs 123 per month, you can make unlimited calls and enjoy 14GB of internet data. Other companies charge Rs 179 for phone calls and give you only 2GB of data.

Even simple phone calls, which used to cost Rs 99 earlier, have now come down to Rs 199 for the entire month.

Apart from Reliance Retail, other phone brands like Karbonn will use this platform to make ‘Jio Bharat Phones’.
