Microsoft changed the keyboard after 30 years: Nearly 30 years later, Microsoft has made significant changes to the keyboards of laptops and PCs. The tech company has added a new button to its keyboard to launch its AI chatbot Copilot directly from the keyboard button. With this the company wants to improve the customer experience.
Microsoft has replaced the “CoPilot key” with the Windows key. This will be next to the “Alt key” on the right side of most keyboards, depending on the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and in other markets. The CoPilot logo is placed on the new button.
However, this change will apply to some specific personal devices running Windows 11. The Windows/Start key was released by Microsoft in 1994. After this, this is the first time that the company has changed the keyboard layout.
If Co-Pilot is not available then this key will launch Windows Search.
“Co-Pilot” will start Windows Search if Windows Co-Pilot is not yet available in your country. The Start menu can be opened by pressing the current Windows button, or shortcuts to other functions can be created by pressing other buttons.

According to news, this latest CoPilot button will be demonstrated in the Windows 11 keyboard at the CES technology conference. For this, Microsoft will also work with Open-AI, the company that makes Chat-GPT.
