Narendra Modi went on a tour of France for 2 days. After returning from there he visited UAE. Narendra Modi was given a grand ceremonial welcome as soon as he reached UAE. at Qasr Al Watan, the grand presidential palace of the UAE. He was received by President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan himself. During his grand welcome, the President himself also tied a friendship band on Narendra Modi’s wrist.
After this, a bilateral meeting was also held between India and UAE. After this, in a joint statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the relations between the two countries have become stronger than before and every Indian now sees the UAE as a true and special friend. Prior to this ceremony, Narendra Modi himself was welcomed by UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid at the airport of Abu Dhabi. He himself went to the airport to receive him.

- Narendra Modi said that the world trade has increased by 20% and the trade between the two countries has reached Rs 6,00,000 crore and very soon it will increase to $100 billion i.e. 8 lakh crores.
- Narendra Modi said that the honor he got shows the brotherhood between India and UAE.
- He said that we are taking a new initiative to strengthen the partnership between India and UAE. Today’s agreement on the use of each other’s currency in trade will strengthen the economy between the two countries.
- Last year, the two countries signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which would not have been possible without the cooperation of President Nahan.

This was Narendra Modi’s fifth visit to the UAE after a two-day visit to France. Earlier in the year 2019, UAE had honored Narendra Modi with its highest honor ‘Order of Justice’.
