Shubman Gill became the best ODI batsman: Babar Azam lost the crown after 951 days, Siraj tops in bowling

World No.1 ODI batsman: Indian cricketer Shubman Gill has become the best batsman in the world in ICC’s ODI rankings. He has done this by leaving Pakistan’s Babar Azam behind. Babar held the highest position for 951 days. ICC released its latest ODI rankings on Wednesday.

Gill secured first position with 830 marks. With 824 points, Babar Azam is ranked second. Quinton de Kock is in third place with 771 points. Virat Kohli has secured fourth position. India’s Mohammed Siraj has secured the first position in the bowling rankings. Four Indian bowlers including Siraj have made it to the top ten.

Gill got an innings against Sri Lanka

Gill has scored an inning of 92 runs against Sri Lanka. He had 92 balls and scored 92 runs at a strike rate of 100. He had twelve fours and two sixes in his innings.

Virat jump into no.4

Last week Virat Kohli was at seventh position. Taking advantage of his 101-run innings against South Africa in the World Cup, he reached fourth place with 770 points.

Siraj has advantage of two places

Mohammad Siraj is also on top among bowlers. Pakistani bowler Shaheen Afridi remained at the top position in the rankings released last week. In last week’s post-match ranking match, Siraj took one wicket against South Africa and three against Sri Lanka. Siraj has got advantage in two places. He stood third in last week’s rankings.

World No.1 ODI batsman:

Apart from Siraj, India’s Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have made it to the top ten in the latest world rankings. Kuldeep Yadav won three places. He moved from seventh to fourth place. While Mohammed Shami is at tenth place and Jasprit Bumrah is at eighth place.

Shakib Al Hasan remains in leading all-rounders ranking.

Shakib Al Hasan, an all-arounder from Bangladesh, remains at the top of the ODI rankings. all-rounders with 327 points. Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan is in second place with 290 points.
