Fire in train: A coach of Vaishali Express caught fire near Etawah in Uttar Pradesh late on Wednesday night. 19 passengers have been injured in the accident. Many people were saved by jumping from the train. In the morning the train left Delhi for Saharsa.

Onlookers reported that S-6 bogie of Vaishali Express was on fire. Passengers saw smoke rising near the railway gate of Friends Colony at around 2 o’clock. After this the coach became unconscious. The speed of the train at that time will be approximately 25 km/hour. People informed the train driver and TTE. The train was stopped outside the platform.

Condition of 11 passengers critical

Seeing the critical condition of 11 people, the administration has sent them to Saifai Medical College. 8 are also admitted in the district hospital of Etawah. Fire broke out in S-6 coach of 12554 Vaishali train while going from Delhi to Kanpur.

Fire brigade personnel brought the fire under control on the spot. The train was released after being stopped for more than an hour. The accident took place outside Mainpuri gate in Friends Colony area of the police station.

A fire broke out in New Delhi-Darbhanga Express (02570) in Etawah on Wednesday. The S-1 coach of the train burnt down. There was panic among the passengers after seeing the smoke rising while the train was running. They were saved by jumping. Eight passengers were injured in the accident and are still in hospital.

At 6:00 p.m., the accident happened close to the Sarai Bhupat train station. It is being told that the speed of the train at that time was 20 to 30 km/hour. Due to Chhath festival, double the number of passengers boarded the bogie. After the accident, the overlapping power line on the Kanpur-Delhi railway route was closed. 16 trains were affected.

The entire train was empty within minutes

Many people were going for Chhath Puja. There was panic among the passengers after seeing smoke rising in the S-1 coach of the train. The passengers escaped by jumping as soon as the train slowed down. The entire train emptied within a few minutes. The fire also reached near the S-1 bogie.
