Red alert in Delhi: There is a red alert in Delhi to avoid dense fog. Railways, roads and airports are affected by dense smog. There was less than 50 meters visibility in Palam, Delhi at 7 am on Wednesday (27 December). 110 flights are delayed at Delhi airport. On 26 December, 11 flights were sent back from Jaipur due to fog.

IMD has issued fog alert in twenty-four states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Red alert continues in Punjab and Haryana including Delhi. Visuality Zero reached Amritsar, Punjab at 5:30 am today.

Red alert in Delhi

At 8 am, there was visibility of 10 to 50 meters in Ambala, Pehowa, Kaithal, Shahabad and Guhla of Haryana adjoining Punjab. The Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in Haryana till December 28. There will be light fog from December 29 to December 30.

There was 200 meter visibility in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh this morning. This was also seen in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Ujjain. According to IMD, rain is expected in MP from December 30 to January 4.

There will be heavy fog till 30th December.

Till December 30, there will be heavy fog over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, North Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. The visibility range here will be 50 meters.

Private weather agency Skymet said there is a possibility of light rain at some places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep. There will be dry weather in the country till 29th December. There may be snowfall and rain in the Western Himalayas from the night of 29 December.

There is very dense fog in the plains of Ganga. No significant change in temperature is expected in most parts of the country in the next two days.

These days there is dense fog in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department said that there will be dense or moderate fog in 35 districts on Wednesday (December 27). Then the weather will be clear. The temperature will rise somewhat both during the day and at night.

Northern Disturbance will operate from December 29. Therefore, rain is expected from December 30 to January 4. Hail may also fall along with rain.

Red alert in Delhi

Fog alert in 31 districts of UP, visibility of 10-15 meters in Lucknow-Kanpur, roadways buses will not run in fog.

Uttar Pradesh saw a lot of fog on Wednesday, December 27. Visibility dropped to 15 to 20 meters in many cities including Lucknow, Agra, Prayagraj, Kanpur. Up to December 30, the state is under a strong fog alert, according to the Meteorological Department.

Light rain is expected in Uttar Pradesh in the first week of January i.e. before January 7. There has been no significant change in the night temperature in the state in the last 24 hours, says the Meteorological Department. The coldest district of UP is Najibabad of Bijnor. The temperature here was 6 degrees Celsius.

In Haryana, dense fog is not visible even from a distance of 5 meters for the third consecutive day; vehicles crawling on the road.

There will be scorching heat in Haryana for the third consecutive day on Wednesday (December 27). This morning there was so much fog in many districts adjoining Rajasthan and Punjab that nothing could be seen even from a distance of five meters. Trains run late due to fog.

Traffic on GT Road and adjacent routes is at a crawl. There is dense fog even on the fields. It has been advised to get up and walk in the morning.
