Governor Moore said that the bridge was in good condition before the collapse. To the surprise of the people of Maryland, the bridge had fallen. Local people have been using it for the last 47 years. There were five vehicles on the bridge when it fell into the water. There was also a tractor-trailer.

Dali’s ship was 157 feet wide and 984 feet long. Synergy Group had purchased the ship. A company spokesperson said the anchor was dropped as part of an emergency procedure before the collision to reduce the ship’s speed.
After the power failure, black smoke rose from the ship and hit the bridge. No crew member was injured during this period. On the other hand, a state of emergency has been declared in Maryland.

Biden said- Government will bear the cost of rebuilding the bridge.
President Biden said in Parliament that the government will bear the entire cost of repairing the Baltimore Bridge. The Francis Bridge was built over the Patapsco River in 1977. It is named after Francis Scott Key, who wrote the American national anthem.
According to the Maryland government website, about 52 million tons of foreign cargo passed through the Port of Baltimore last year. Its cost was Rs 6.67 lakh crore. This port has provided direct employment to more than 15 thousand people. At the same time, because of this, about 1.39 lakh people survive in Maryland.
