There was a distance of only 10 feet between the American aircraft and the Chinese fighter jet. The US military has issued a statement accusing the Chinese military pilot of flying the J-11 jet incorrectly.
A major accident could have happened
America said that the actions of the Chinese pilot could have led to a major accident. The Chinese fighter jet entered the nose line of the US Air Force B-52 bomber. Later, the American pilot had to work very hard to save both the planes from colliding.
AP news agency said that 180 such incidents have occurred since 2021.
Why was the information given only four days after the incident?
On the question of delay in giving information about the incident, the American said that in such cases many details are investigated. The government should also give this information to other institutions.
China and America accused each other. The US Indo-Pacific Command said the Chinese planes were too fast. China’s Foreign Ministry said that American aircraft are deliberately carrying out provocations in the South China Sea.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said the US military aircraft had traveled thousands of miles to China in a show of force. This can create danger.
America-China dispute over South China Sea
